About Polly McKenna-Cress
Polly McKenna-Cress is Chair of the Museum Studies Department and Program Director of Museum Exhibition Planning+Design at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia. Over her 25+ years in the interpretive field she has planned, developed, designed, project managed and advised on more than 60 exhibitions of varying sizes, budgets and complexities from small panel shows to multi-million dollar fully immersive experiences. In 2001 her team at the Franklin Institute won the Best of Philly for the exhibition Kid Science and in 2010 she won the Mary Louise Beitzel Award for Distinguished Teaching. Polly has degrees in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA '88), and Museum Exhibition Planning+Design from University of the Arts (MFA '95). She lives in Philadelphia with her husband Richard and three children: Isabelle, and twins Sabine and Henry.
